Yttrium (III) chloride (YCl3) is a white ionic compound soluble in water, moderately soluble in strong mineral acids. It is a salt that is solid at room temperature, highly soluble in water, and deliquescent. Yttrium Chloride is an excellent water soluble crystalline Yttrium source for uses compatible with chlorides. Yttrium Chloride is widely applied in electronic ceramics, glass, and phosphors. High purity grades are the most important materials for tri-bands Rare Earth phosphors and yttrium-iron-garnets, which are very effective microwave filters.
