4. First Aid Measures
Always seek medical attention after first aid measures are provided.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin: Contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Get medical attention if found any serious contact complication.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting upper and lower eyelids occasionally. Do not allow the victim to rub eyes. Get medical attention if found any serious contact complication.
Note to physician: Treat symptomatically.
5. Fire Fighting Measures
Fire: 1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid - Potassium Salt or HEDP potassium salt is not a fire hazard.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Carbon dioxide, Carbon monoxide, Phorous oxide, Phosphine and Fumes.
Fire Extinguishing Media: Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire over HEDP.Kx. Water spray may be used to keep fire exposed containers cool. Dry chemicals, carbon dioxide, water, foam are ok.
Special Information: In the event of a fire over HEDP potassium salt, wear full protective clothing and NIOSH-approved self-contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode.

Ventilate area of leak or spill. Wear appropriate personal protective equipments.
Spills: Mop up and containerize for reclamation or disposal. Do not release 1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid - Potassium Salt or HEDP.Kx in to sewer.

Keep HEDP.Kx in a tightly closed container. Protect from physical damage. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sources of heat and incompatibilities. Do not ingest or inhale and avoid contact. Containers of 1-Hydroxyethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid - Potassium Salt or HEDP potassium salt may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues; observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product. Store above the freezing temperature - 0C.
